Kristen Doty is an artist with a passion for drawing, painting and calligraphy. She has taken classes and workshops in the US, Canada and Europe, and continues to study art and techniques through books, magazines, classes, and by viewing originals in galleries and museums.

Her artworks have been in juried exhibitions, won awards, and published in magazines, including American Art Collector, International Artist Magazine, The Best of Drawing, The Best of Watercolor, and Letter Arts Review; and in books including the Strokes of Genius – The Best of Drawing book series (Vols. 2, 3, & 6); as well as prints, posters, logos, book titles and greeting cards.

She is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and is a member of the CPSA Seattle Chapter, the Northwest Watercolor Society, Northwest Pastel Society, Pastel Society of America, Plein Air Washington Artists, and Calligraphy Societies in Seattle, Olympia, Portland, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

Kristen enjoys sharing her passion by teaching for groups at various locations including conferences, retreat centers and online. She has taught workshops across the USA and abroad, including Belgium, Canada and Japan.
